ABOUT

Víctor Brossa (Barcelona, 1969)

Spanish painter born in Barcelona and living in Berlin and Girona, his works are a clear example of what is known as the new configuration of surrealist style of Neo Rauch and Daniel Richter.
Influenced by the school of Leipzig, but also by Gerard Richter's abstract paintings, relying on figurative work and abstraction facing both ends to bring them as complementary to the construction of scenes that seem lifted out of parallel dimensions, as the universe Victor Brossa shows to the viewer's eyes a dream of archetypes and symbols bathed in light and color that sets it off from the weight of the worlds most dense, approaching the realm of the magical and mystical heritage of the purest tradition of Spanish painting exponents which range from the genius of Velazquez and Goya to figures such as Picasso, Miró and Dalí.
